Atlantic salmon previously raised in hatcheries or satellite rearing tanks were released on a yearly basis. The Miramichi and Flower’s Cove fish culture station and local stream side satellite rearing operations where used to provide young of the year Atlantic salmon and Brook trout for enhancement purposes.

Bouctouche Atlantic Salmon brood stock collection project took place from 1996 to 1998. The process consists of extracting eggs from captured salmon, hatching the eggs at a hatchery, and stocking the watercourse the following year.

Over 100,000 Tabusintac strain brook trout was stocked in the Bouctouche and Cocagne rivers between 1994 and 1999.
